Description
This Cureton© horn is mostly white with rings, flats, contoured flats and a strap grove at the tip. The lathe turned base is maple with an acorn finial. A scrimshaw quality horn is first selected. This ranges from lightly mottled to snowy white, and it just depends on the horns available at the time of building. The tip features three decorative grooves, a band, and a strap groove. Out of that, a series of contoured flats arise. The base plug includes a banded acorn, three decorative grooves and the concave relief. The standard finish is highly polished. The Medium Powder Horn will run from 8 ” – 10 1/2″ on the bottom curve and will be under 2 1/4″ in diameter.
