Description

This is a Cureton Deluxe Large horn and instead of lathe turning a wooden finial onto the base-plug, I mounted a Small Brass Finial instead. This of course allows a person the ability to pour their powder into a somewhat larger opening, instead of the 5/16″ spout hole. Also, instead of using solid brass nails around the base, I space 8 little 1/16″ birch pegs around it instead.

The horn comes complete with a lace carry strap and an ebony violin peg stopper.

The Medium horn is 8 to 10 1/2″ on the bottom curve and about 2 1/4: in diameter.
