Description

This is a Cureton Deluxe Large horn with three decorative grooves, a band, and a strap groove. In addition a series of contoured flats compliment the horn strap grove.

Instead of lathe turning a wooden finial onto the base-plug, we mount a Small Brass Finial instead. This  allows the ability to pour powder into a somewhat larger opening, instead of the 5/16″ spout hole. Also, instead of using solid brass nails around the base, we space 8 little 1/16″ hardwood pegs around it. The horn comes complete with a narrow lace carry strap and an ebony violin peg stopper.

The large horn is 10 1/2 – 14″ on the bottom curve and will measure less than 2 3/4″ in diameter.
