Description

This is a new kit folks have been asking for and is going to be a fun build for you. Like our other kits, I cut and drill the tip and place the base plug one inch in depth into the horn.  This leaves room for cutting and shaping the lobe.  The plug is pressure fit and you will not be able to remove it.  It may not be perfectly air tight and may require very small amounts of wood glue or epoxy to get a final seal.  You can use bees wax or pine pitch like original horns.

This is not a difficult build and you can copy original designs of lobes from surviving horns by searching images on the web or design your own lobe.

Horn colors vary and will not be exactly like the sample picture.

The base plug is Ash and will look great when stained. Other options are Pine, and limited supplies of walnut and cherry.  If you would like those please put it in the order notes and I will do my best.

All other items you will need are included: leather strap, modified Ebony fiddle peg stopper, solid brass nails and complete instructions. Finish it off and use with pride. These kits will run from 10 1/2 to 14″ on the bottom curve.
