Description
The Native American horn is for those who wish to portray a Native American or just carry a Native American style horn. Like all our horns, this one is made right here at Powderhorns and More and is a superb horn to carry afield or at re-enactments.
It is meant to look like it was made and scrimshawed around a fire. As with all surviving old horns there are flaws and imperfections from being hand made.
This line of horns is for those who want a horn documented from the F&I period through the fur trade era.The architecture of these horns is documented in three well known books on powderhorn making.
- Powderhorns and Their Architecture by Madison Grant
- The Collectors Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution by George C Neumann; and
- The Engraved Powder Horn: Folk Art of Early America by Jim Dresslar
These horns have been distressed and given a nice patina and look like they came right out of the woods!
***NOTE: The color of each horn will vary depending on the natural color of the horn! No matter what shade it comes out, it will look great!***
