Description
This powder horn was designed after a several horns in my own collection. Finding horns in barns is very common as may farmers had “barn guns” as well. This is a simple homemade style horn with a pine plug and two staples for the 3/8 inch strap. It has been antiqued and has built in “decay” to give it a very old look. The plug is sealed from the inside and on the outside, if needed, I drip in hot pine pitch just like they would have done. It has a fiddle peg stopper with a hole in it for a thong to secure it.
It looks old but is highly functioning and will give you a great look at a great price. Great for many eras!
